How this screen works
Where the numbers come from
- Hours come off your own time entries, grouped by client and compared to what that client's retainer actually bought.
- An invoice flips to late on its own the day after the due date. Nobody has to notice.
- Overage is priced at that client's rate, so unbilled work shows up as a dollar figure instead of a vague feeling.
What it will not do
- It is not bookkeeping and it is not tax prep. It does not categorize expenses, track deductions, or file anything.
- What it does for the part you dread: hands your accountant a clean export instead of a shoebox, so you are buying an hour of their time rather than a weekend of yours.
- It does not chase payment on its own unless you turn that on, and you would want to read every reminder before it went out.
